This week we are working on the months. I printed 12 cakes (one for each month) and one candle for each child. Then I wrote the children names on the candles. They took turns finding the cake that belonged to their birthday month and glued the cake on top.
For the little ones you may need to get their birthday information ahead of time. After we were done with the candles we talked about each month (celebrations, etc).
