Community heroes

This week we talked about community heroes: police office, firefighter, doctor, nurse, dentist and teacher. I printed coloring pages of the following: police id batch, police hat, firefighter hat, fire hydrant, dalmatian, hose, needle, toothbrush, toothpaste, tooth, chalk, white board, fire truck, ambulance, police car. Then the children sort them out. I didn't translate each item, only the ones the children asked for.
After we reviewed actions/verbs. I choose to play dominos and the children loved it! See my website for actions/verbs dominos or you can make your own.

Back from our early spring break. Monday we learnt actions/verbs. We started with 6: walk, jump, run, listen, read and yell. The children loved doing the motions. Try to use face motions and body motions, that helps the children remember the words. On Wednesday we'll learn: play, eat, cry, talk, sleep and write. I'll post a video soon.
